Um...Why is a Game Studio Selling Canvases?

I'm glad you asked! I'm a local UNM graduate, with an extensive background in the analog and digital arts. I have training in mechanical engineering processes through UNM, and I hold an A.S. in Physics from CNM. I utilize this amalgamation of knowledge to make an honest living for myself and my family by constructing and selling canvases. I do this while building the game studio that is ultimate the purpose of our organization. In addition, I put 10% of the profit made towards hiring interns from UNM and CNM to game projects, for which which they will receive learning opportunities, industry credit, and a small stipend.

But wait, there's more!

We are extremely transparent about our business model and manufacturing process. The costs associated with crafting canvases include materials, labor, and safety. The most expensive materials for building canvases is by far the cloth and the gesso. Machining the wood and assembling the canvases is what takes the most time and requires considerable amounts of physical labor.

The manufacturing processes used to build canvases, including wood sawing and sanding, create carcinogenic byproducts that are hazardous when inhaled, which is unfortunately not discussed as often as it should be. Sanding gessoed surfaces also poses a similar hazard. Therefore, we also provide a level of health safety to our customers as well, because we have an abundance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the training to do so.

One of the manufacturing processes that we're able to use, because of the tools and safety equipment our studio we have, is touchless-applied gesso. We utilize a paint sprayer to apply the gesso to the canvases we sell, so that virtually, no artist will have ever marked on it, making it 100% your work.

It's truly an honor to get to serve the students and artists of New Mexico. We want to help you if you're in a time crunch, or if you just simply want to be more ambitious with your artistic endeavors. We are entirely committed to your satisfaction with our canvases and to your success as an artist!
